The successful candidate will assume the role of the ICT System Engineer for a large tunnel infrastructure project in the State of New South Wales, Australia. This role will be based in our North Sydney office.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the identification, management and fulfilment of the System and Functional Requirements for the entire life cycle of the project (Design, Implementation and Testing).
* Developing Substantial Detailed Design and Final Detailed Design documentations.
* Ensure the identification and management of the system interfaces among the subsystems and external interfaces according to the project scope of work.
* Participate System Engineering activities for the project (system sizing calculation, RAM & FMECA, Cyber Security Assessment etc).
* Deploying, testing, configuring and upgrading ICT system within the project scope of work.
* Troubleshooting, analysing, and identifying hardware and network system faults, evaluate alternative solutions, determine and implement the solution process.
* Ensure the timely and effective performance of testing.
* Recommending and assisting with the selection of relevant technologies and products for projects. Liaising with vendors if required.
* Ensuring equipment configurations comply with technical specifications.
* Acting as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) in areas of expertise.
Qualifications
* Experience with multi-server infrastructure including virtualisation and application clusters, Windows Server Operating Systems, Linux, VMware, SQL, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Exchange, Office 365 and virtualisation technologies.
* Significant experience in designing, implementing and troubleshooting leading edge technology solutions.
* Relevant industry certifications, such as MCSE, MCSA.
* Good knowledge of Networking, Routing, Switching and Firewalls, and VPN technologies.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and keen analytical abilities.
* Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, customers, vendors, and stakeholders.
* Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or Information Technology Qualifications / University Degree or Equivalent Technical Background.
* Excellent documentation skills.
* Proven experience delivering multiple projects.
* 3+ year experience in Intelligent Transport System (ITS) industry in tunnel project will be highly desired.
