Job Description AbbVie is seeking an Operational Reporting Analyst (ORA) to join the Market Analytics & Business Intelligence team. In this senior operational role, you will be accountable for the integrity, consistency, and automation of monthly operational reporting. You will own end-to-end actuals processing, system updates, reporting automation, and the ongoing optimisation of the structural and reference data that supports commercial performance reporting. The ORA partners closely with Market Analysts and cross-functional stakeholders to define reporting requirements, standardise datasets, and deliver trusted, decision-ready outputs. This role leads the monthly performance and actuals cycle, sets operational standards and controls, and maximises the value realised from global and local reporting platforms through continuous improvement and automation—while ensuring BAU reporting remains the highest priority and is delivered reliably month after month. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Monthly Actuals Tracking & Global System Updates Lead the end-to-end monthly actuals cycle, including stakeholder coordination, extraction, validation, reconciliation, and timely issue resolution. Accountable for accurate and timely updates of actuals into global standard reporting systems (including Brand Pulse and MySource), ensuring adherence to required timelines. Design and maintain robust controls (audit trails, QA checks, reconciliation logs, and exception management) to support traceability and confidence in reporting outputs. 2. Reporting Automation & Operational Efficiency Drive the automation roadmap for month-to-month reporting using tools such as Power Query, Power BI, SQL, Python, and VBA—setting standards for reusable, scalable solutions. Simplify and industrialise reporting processes by replacing manual effort with resilient data pipelines, automated validation, and clear runbooks. Proactively identify and deliver improvements that increase speed, quality, and reliability of reporting, with clear articulation of risk, effort, and value. 3. SIP Actuals Tracking & Dashboard Ownership Lead SIP actuals processing, including governance of the monthly run, validation, reconciliation, and stakeholder-ready outputs. Own SIP dashboards and underlying logic to ensure accurate visibility of achievement and performance, and to drive continuous enhancements. Own the SIP actuals operating model and SOP (including documentation standards and version control), ensuring continuity, handover readiness, and clear accountability. 4. Dashboards, QA & Continuous Improvement Lead the refresh, validation, and publication of dashboards supporting monthly business reviews, ensuring insights are accurate, consistent, and decision-ready. Set and maintain SOP standards for actuals tracking, SIP processes, dashboard refreshes, and automation workflows—ensuring documentation quality, version control, and operational resilience. Own data quality outcomes and reporting consistency for the monthly performance review process through risk-based controls, QA routines, triage, and transparent stakeholder communication. Serve as a trusted operational advisor to Market Analysts—shaping requirements, standardising datasets, and delivering scalable automation that reduces cycle time and improves reliability. Manage reporting and automation demand via the intake tool—triaging requests, clarifying requirements, estimating effort, prioritising with stakeholders, and maintaining transparent delivery timelines aligned to BAU commitments. Deliver discrete project work when capacity permits (e.g., process redesign, automation builds, new dashboard delivery), partnering with Market Analysts to unlock efficiency and improve operational reporting outcomes without compromising core monthly cycles. Act as a critical BAU continuity point—providing backup coverage for key reporting processes, maintaining cross-training and handover materials, and ensuring essential reporting continues during leave or peak periods. Establish and apply release and change management discipline for dashboards, templates, and automation pipelines (e.g., version control, testing/UAT, release notes, and controlled rollout) to protect business continuity and reduce operational risk. Provide oversight of data access and controls across reporting tools and datasets (least-privilege access, secure handling, and periodic access reviews), proactively identifying and escalating risks, incidents, or control gaps. Champion the responsible use of approved AI tools to accelerate analysis, documentation, and automation—setting expectations for validation, confidentiality, and auditability, and upskilling others where appropriate.
