M.A.S.S. Electrics is a well-established industrial electrical contractor, operating continuously since 1985. While we've been around for decades, our strongest growth has been in the past three years, and we're now looking to bring on the right senior person to help take the business into its next phase.
We do purely industrial work — No domestic — and service a range of blue‑chip and large industrial clients, primarily across North‑West Melbourne.
This role is intentionally flexible. Depending on your background and strengths, it can evolve into one of several senior pathways.
About the Role
We are open to shaping this role around the right person.
Option 1: General Manager
Reporting to the director, this role would entail taking full responsibility of the day to day operations and lead the business into the next stage of growth.
* Confident in quoting large industrial projects and managing day to day operations.
* Experienced with tenders, pricing, sourcing materials, and negotiating with suppliers.
* Comfortable dealing directly with blue‑chip clients.
* Responsible for day to day running of jobs, leading teams, and contributing strategically to business growth.
Option 2: Automation / Technical Leader
As an Automation / PLC specialist, you'll partner with the General Manager to guide all technical aspects of our industrial projects. You'll support and mentor the team, ensuring best practice design and commissioning while lifting capability across the business.
* Proven capability leading teams and projects.
* Technically hands‑on but also comfortable mentoring others.
* Looking to step into a senior, respected leadership role.
About You
* Must have unrestricted work rights in Australia.
* A‑Grade Electrician OR Automation / PLC specialist.
* Minimum 10 years' industry experience.
* Strong industrial background (manufacturing, automation, infrastructure, etc.).
* Previous experience leading teams.
* Reliable, professional, and values long‑term relationships.
* Commercially minded and solutions‑focused.
