The Role
Gove District Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Hospital Nurse Resource Coordinator (HNRC) to join the leadership team. In this role, you will oversee hospital operations after hours, ensuring effective coordination of patient flow, bed management, and the efficient use of human and material resources. Working closely with the Director of Nursing and Midwifery and Nurse/Midwife Unit Managers, you will help maintain operational oversight and support safe, responsive care across the hospital. You will also act as the Chief Emergency Warden, coordinating immediate responses to emergency events and providing leadership and guidance to clinical staff across the service.
About You
You are an experienced and confident nurse or nurse/midwife who thrives in a dynamic hospital environment and is passionate about coordinating safe and efficient patient care. You bring strong clinical expertise, sound judgement, and the ability to lead and support teams while managing competing priorities.
* Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, or eligibility for same
* Advanced clinical knowledge and demonstrated leadership capability in an acute care environment
* Strong decision-making and problem‐solving skills, particularly in time‐critical situations
* Experience coordinating patient flow, bed management, and hospital resources
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to guide and support multidisciplinary teams
* The ability to remain calm and provide leadership during emergency or high‐pressure situations
