Division: Independent Public School - Southwest Education Region
Salary: Level 1, $62,134 - $70,734 per annum (pro-rata) (DOE (SSO) CA 2024)
Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time, Permanent - Full Time, Permanent - Part Time
We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year.
Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Role and Responsibilities
School Officers are the first point of contact for schools and are responsible for completing administrative duties including greeting all visitors, answering the telephone, and responding to routine inquiries and requests for information.
Responsibilities include:
Distribute and collect documents, forms, and mail; collect and receipt monies; operate and maintain office equipment; input data and generate reports; arrange catering for school functions;
Assist with maintenance of school facilities and support student-related activities such as maintaining attendance records and assisting with student enrolment procedures;
Familiarity with systems such as Integris, Compass, Schrole, Passtab, and DAM is an advantage but not essential;
Assist the Manager Corporate Services with induction and training of school support staff and recruitment processes and maintain staff records and contact relief staff as directed.
Qualifications and Skills
Suitable applicants should ideally have good organisational skills in delivering and prioritising tasks when under pressure.
Applicants should demonstrate:
Experience providing general office administrative support with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively;
Ability to use computers and a range of software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing;
Good verbal and written communication skills, including customer service principles and practices;
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Eligibility and Compliance
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
