Job Description
* Lead the development of strategic sourcing approaches and associated contract management plans to achieve required procurement and contract outcomes
* Lead and manage end‐to‐end strategic sourcing activities, including market analysis, sourcing strategy development, procurement planning, evaluation and contract award, in accordance with QITC and Queensland Government procurement requirements.
* Provide expert advice on ICT sourcing strategies, procurement methodologies and commercial approaches for complex, high‐risk or high‐value procurements.
* Administer contracts in accordance with approved Contract Management Plans, ensuring sourcing outcomes are realised through active review of contract performance and key performance indicators.
* Maintain contract integrity by documenting all amendments and keeping appropriate records.
* Establish, develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships with stakeholders, delivery partners and external service suppliers, including implementing and managing procurement and contract performance governance processes in line with contract terms and conditions.
* Lead and manage the research, analysis and interpretation of complex procurement, sourcing, contract and operational issues.
* Identify and actively manage daily issues and emergent risks in an unpredictable and commercially sensitive environment across both strategic sourcing and contract management phases.
* Monitor and manage risk to ensure the risk profile remains acceptable and assist in improving overall risk management surrounding ICT procurement, strategic sourcing and contract management.
The Successful Applicant
A successful ICT Procurement Specialist should have:
* Relevant qualifications in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
* Experience in ICT procurement within the public sector or a similar environment.
* Strong understanding of government procurement policies and compliance requirements.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Proficiency in procurement systems and contract management tools.
* Analytical skills to assess supplier proposals and manage procurement risks.
