This is an exciting part-time opportunity to collaborate with an experienced culinary team. At St Andrew's Ipswich Private Hospital, we go beyond serving meals, we deliver care through quality, innovation, and consistency.
About the Opportunity
In this role, you will:
* Prepare nutritious and appetising meals for patients, staff, doctors, the café, and hospital functions.
* Uphold food quality, hygiene, and safety standards in line with regulatory requirements.
* Support daily kitchen operations including ordering, stock rotation, and food safety compliance.
* Work collaboratively in a busy team environment, reporting to the Executive Chef.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation and cooking of meals (including cold larder and special diets).
* Understanding and meeting patient dietary requirements.
* Ensuring food safety compliance (HACCP) and accurate record keeping.
* Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen and equipment.
* Assisting with stock management and ordering.
What You Will Bring
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (essential).
* Strong understanding of food hygiene and OH&S standards.
* Proven experience in hotels or cook to order, ala carte food style.
* Ability to manage high-volume workflows with strong organisation skills.
* Excellent teamwork, time management, and communication skills.
* Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
* Unrestricted working rights in Australia (sponsorship not available).

Requirements
