OverviewThe Workday Financials Functional Architect is the "go to" implementation leader, expected to provide expert guidance and delivery for Financials engagements.
This individual serves as the billable functional lead on Workday Financials implementations.
This person is a senior Workday Financials product expert who works closely with Engagement Managers, Managers, and functional area leads.
This person will provide overarching guidance and leadership on Financials engagements to ensure a robust and complete solution that meets customer needs and allows for future enhancements with limited rework.
The Financials Functional Architect will report to the Financials Delivery Director.Key Areas of ResponsibilitySolution DeliveryLead multiple, concurrent Workday Financials implementationsDeliver Foundation Data Model (FDM) design sessions on Workday Financials ImplementationsOversee all functional areas on assigned implementations, ensuring productive and accurate design and configuration of the delivered solutionUtilize CynergyTM methodology to deliver Workday Financials implementationsMentor junior project resources by providing guidance allowing them to learn current skills and functional areas, lead customer sessions, and configure the solutionServe as an advocate and escalation point for the EM and functional team and ensure issues are being addressedHelp team to understand and adhere to methodology and provide feedback to appropriate parties internally to support continuous enhancement of our tools and processContinuous commitment to the ongoing optimization of the CynergyTM methodology, which includes driving team members to keep these tools currentEnsures cohesive structures and project communications are in place for cross-functional delivery between their area and the following areas: HCM, Payroll, Integrations, Financials, Organizational Change & Training, Data Conversion, and ReportingTeam LeadershipAssist engagement/project managers and team members when needed to identify project needs and develop solutions and strategiesDrive team and individuals to achieve high customer satisfaction levelsWorkday KnowledgeActively participate in the Workday Product Lead ProgramAttend regular Workday KSS calls for Financials product areasMaintain Workday certifications through the biannual update processSales SupportAssist Solution Architects with estimating projects, as necessaryParticipate in Sales Orals meetings for proposed assignmentsAssisting with or reviewing estimates for Change Orders in functional areasParticipating in discussions regarding functional areas that may come into scope for project or customerSkills & RequirementsBachelor\'s Degree or equivalent experience requiredCurrent Workday Financials CertificationFoundation Data Model (FDM) Certification, desiredPossess 2+ years of Workday Financials implementation experienceCompleted at least 3 full lifecycle Workday Financials implementationsLed at least 2 Workday Financials implementationsPossess project management and/or team lead experienceMinimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site if neededRequired characteristics: fast learner, detail oriented, decisive, and enjoy quick paced work environmentsMust work well within and across teams to get things accomplishedSalary and Other CompensationApplications will be accepted until 11/25/2025.
The annual salary for this position is between $154,174 - $231,261 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
