Guest Service Officer (Overnights) – Front Office

Park Hyatt Sydney, a luxury hotel located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, is recruiting a professional Guest Service Officer for its Overnight Front Office team.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for the guest's arrival and departure experience. You will report to the Duty Manager and work within an inclusive, dynamic team that extends beyond the realms of Front Office. This varied role offers the chance to develop a professional hospitality career within an international company, either in Australia or overseas.

Main Responsibilities

* Personally and frequently verify that guests are receiving the best possible service during arrival and departure.
* Verify arrival and departure details and arrange luggage handling, transportation, and other requested services.
* Maintain positive guest and colleague interactions and good working relationships.
* Accept room reservations accurately and efficiently and enter them into the computer system immediately.
* Assist the Night Manager with the Automatic Night Audit system and the production of balanced daily results.
* Be familiar with cashiering functions.
* Work closely with other Front Office personnel in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of guests.

Qualifications

* Good computer skills, particularly in the use of MS Office.
* Ability to work under pressure and a positive, can‐do attitude.
* Diploma or certificate in Hospitality or Tourism Management is desirable.
* Knowledge of Opera is desirable.
* Comfortable working overnight hours in a full‐time capacity.
* Preferable prerequisite knowledge of the travel/hotel industry.
* 1 year of experience in Front Office operations and/or Night Audit experience.
