Job Description
Summary:
The Product Manager will be responsible for owning the product vision, strategy, and roadmap while ensuring successful execution through close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
The role bridges business, technology, and customer needs, translating strategic objectives into prioritized product initiatives that deliver measurable value.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst and is comfortable operating across discovery, delivery, and optimization phases.
They will work closely with stakeholders, customers, and development teams to define product direction, prioritize initiatives, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery aligned with business goals.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Vision
Define and communicate a clear product vision aligned with business strategy and customer needs.
Own and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and market demands.
Continuously evaluate product performance and identify opportunities for improvement, optimization, or innovation.
Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term product strategy.
Stakeholder & Customer Management
Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders, customers, and delivery teams.
Gather, analyze, and validate requirements from business users and stakeholders.
Understand and prioritize end-user needs, preferences, and pain points.
Ensure stakeholder expectations are aligned with product scope, timelines, and outcomes.
Conduct internal product review sessions to assess progress and manage expectations.
Backlog & Requirements Management
Own and continuously refine the product backlog to maximize business value.
Translate business and customer needs into clear, concise, and actionable user stories.
Break down complex requirements into manageable features and user stories.
Define, document, and validate acceptance criteria for user stories and features.
Establish and maintain business acceptance criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
Prioritize backlog items based on business value, risk, dependencies, and strategic goals.
Agile Delivery & Execution
Work closely with Scrum/Kanban teams to ensure effective planning, execution, and delivery.
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
Evaluate product progress at each iteration and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Provide timely and clear feedback to development teams to ensure alignment with product objectives.
Validate the Definition of Done for user stories, iterations, and releases.
Support release planning and oversee iteration and release schedules.
Metrics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Monitor delivery performance using metrics such as velocity, burndown/burnup, and throughput.
Track iteration progress and ensure transparency across teams and stakeholders.
Ensure customer feedback is captured, categorized, and translated into actionable backlog items.
Promote Agile best practices and a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
Support teams in improving processes, quality, and delivery efficiency.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
3 to 6 years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Business Analyst.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
Proven experience with user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog management.
Familiarity with modern software development practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and TDD concepts.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and service-oriented architectures.
Experience using metrics to drive product decisions and incremental delivery.
Knowledge of backlog tracking, velocity, burndown/burnup charts, and capacity planning.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
Ability to take ownership, manage priorities, and deliver products within agreed timelines.
