Clinical Psychologist Registrar
Role Summary
Within an interdisciplinary and professional team context the Clinical Psychologist Registrar will provide clinical, consultant, educational and research psychology services to individuals, couples, families, groups and other professionals, and to organisational systems dealing with complex psychological and mental health difficulties.
The role is performed under the professional clinical supervision of a Board-approved Clinical Psychologist in accordance with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) and SMHS policies and guidelines.
Responsibilities
Deliver assessment and treatment to a caseload of complex psychological and mental health clients.
Provide consultant services to clinical teams and other professionals.
Engage in educational activities, including supervision of junior staff and training sessions.
Contribute to research projects and evidence-based practice initiatives.
Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with ethical and legal standards.
Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and organisational improvement processes.
Qualifications and Experience
Graduate degree in psychology (PhD or equivalent) and registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Experience in a clinical psychology setting, preferably with complex or specialised populations.
Strong clinical, research and educational skills demonstrated through practice or academic work.
Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
Commitment to high ethical and professional standards.
