We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate function and a la carte chef to work in our busy function and restaurant kitchens supporting our very experienced Head Chef.
About the opportunity:
SkyHigh operations training will be given but an excellent food knowledge and ability to manage a kitchen brigade is expected. SkyHigh has a busy a la carte kitchen as well as a large function kitchen.
You will be responsible for:
* Producing high quality food
* Follow all Health and Safety requirements of the kitchen
* Cleaning, stock ordering and stock rotation
* Ensuring busy services are conducted with cleanliness, speed and efficiency
* Delivering outstanding dining experiences through consistent and prompt service
* Taking charge of daily specials and using your creativity to produce exciting plates
* Minimising wastage and ensuring cost control for maximum business profitability
* You will also:
* Have an impeccable work ethic and a positive attitude
* Be able to train the junior chefs
* Be able to work autonomously
* Work closely with the front of house team
* Have a good knowledge of industry trends
* Be exceptionally well organised and have acute attention to detail
* Have a positive, can-do attitude and be a team player
* Be a creative thinker, quick learner and problem solver
* Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
