What You'll Do
* Drafting and reviewing investment management agreements, marketing documents, ISDAs and brokerage agreements;
* Drafting and reviewing platform agreements, distribution agreements, rebates and research agreements;
* Supporting Pinnacle on its regulatory obligations, including AFSL-related obligations, liaising with regulators and managing conflicts of interest;
* Participating in key projects as they arise, including new and offshore fund launches, reviewing/coordinating preparation of PDSs/disclosure documents, internal due diligence, and other business initiatives;
* Supporting and developing key relationships with members of Pinnacle's leadership team;
* Providing proactive advice and collaborating with internal clients and legal colleagues to implement key strategic and business initiatives; and
* Providing support for company secretarial matters.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in law;
* 2-4 years' experience providing legal advice in a major law firm or in-house in funds management;
* Previous exposure to, or interest in, investment management;
* Previous exposure to Chapter 5C and 7 of the Corporations Act;
* Ability to quickly extrapolate key issues and resolve complex problems; and
* Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
