Melbourne Royal is seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager, People & Culture to join our team in Melbourne. As part of the People & Culture department, this permanent full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled HR professional to make a meaningful impact within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company's overall objectives. Reporting to the EGM, People & Culture, the Manager, People & Culture will play a key role in fostering a positive work environment and promoting a culture of inclusivity and diversity.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading the design and delivery of HR programs, policies, and procedures to support employee engagement, retention, and performance.
* Collaborating with departmental managers to provide guidance on various HR matters including employee relations, talent management, and organisational development.
* Managing the recruitment process from job posting to onboarding, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
* Providing coaching and support to team members on people management issues, conflict resolution, and performance improvement plans.
* Overseeing the administration of employee benefits, end-to-end payroll, and HR systems while ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR processes by identifying opportunities for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills with a proven track record in driving positive change within an organisation. They should demonstrate excellent communication abilities along with a thorough understanding of employment law and HR best practices. A degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred along with significant experience in a similar role.
Skills And Experiences
* Proven experience in human resources management
* Experience delivering end-to-end payroll, preferred but not essential
* Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
* Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels of the organisation
* Experience in talent acquisition, performance management, and employee engagement
* Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
* Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
* High level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
* Proficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office suite
* A relevant degree in Human Resources or a related field, with CIPD or similar HR certification preferred
