What You Will Do
- Design and deliver robust control system hardware architectures for industrial automation projects, primarily within GMP manufacturing environments.
- Consult with clients and stakeholders on control system design, component selection, and facility-level architecture.
- Develop and review technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, risk assessments, and compliance materials aligned with IEC, UL, CE, and FDA standards.
- Lead and supervise technical teams, including hands-on involvement in equipment development, testing, and international site support (SAT).
- Contribute to project planning and execution, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with quality processes and regulatory requirements.
- Execute hazard and risk assessments and safety design to mitigate risk.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in Electrical, Robotics & Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, or A Grade Electrician certification with applicable experience.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in industrial control systems, including component selection, power system design, industrial networking, and safety system configuration.
- Proficiency in electrical drafting using CAD, including creation of schematics, BOMs, and cost estimates, with hands-on wiring and equipment testing capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage project plans aligned with overall goals and compliance standards.
- Knowledge of safety standards and risk assessments, including Machinery Directive, Harmonized Standards, and robot safety systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork, with proven ability to supervise builds and collaborate effectively in large multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for equipment used in the USA and EU including EMC design methodologies and facility integration.
- Experience with SolidWorks Electrical, PDM systems, and robotics interface design.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams.
