Our client is currently looking for a **Procurement Specialist** to provide procurement services in the areas of labour hire, ICT hardware and ICT software products.
**Key Responsibilities**
- preparation and review of procurement documents including: approval documents, requests for quote, evaluation reports, work orders and purchase orders
- provision of procurement and contract management advice and assistance to project and program teams
- implementation of Commonwealth procurement policies and legislation and agency procurement policies and practices
- development of team tools, guides and templates, as required
- reporting tasks and other ad hoc section activities, as required.
**Key knowledge, skills or experience areas include**:
- ability to manage a number of procurement activities simultaneously
- ability to work independently in a collaborative team environment
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- ability to follow established processes
- experience preparing procurement documentation
- experience using Commonwealth panel arrangements
- high focus on good records management
- ability to communicate effectively with a range of both internal and external stakeholders,
- ability to operate with a degree of autonomy.
**Essential criteria**
- Demonstrated experience developing procurement documents in consultation with stakeholders (e.g. business areas or projects).
- Demonstrated experience using Commonwealth panel arrangements for labour hire, ICT hardware and ICT software products.
- Demonstrated understanding of good probity practices and the Commonwealth Procurement Framework, including the Resource Management Framework and Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
- Ability to use MS Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams and familiarity with the use of Electronic Document Records Management (EDRM) Systems.
- Demonstrated experience liaising with a diverse range of stakeholders including ICT professionals and vendors.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise work accordingly.
**Desirable criteria**
- Certificate IV or Diploma qualification in Procurement and Contract Management.
