What we’re looking for To be considered for this role, you will have: Degree or postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy Current AHPRA registration Genuine interest in working in the community and with the aged population (experience an advantage) Ability to work autonomously and within a multi-disciplinary team Current, full Australian driver's license Full time permanent or part time permanent availability. The role As a Silverchain Occupational Therapist, you will visit clients in their own homes, providing practical advice, services and solutions so they can maintain their independence and wellbeing. Our Occupational Therapists provide a wide variety of services, from ADL assessments and equipment prescription to home modifications and intervention services. You’ll be focused on supporting the physical, functional and cognitive abilities of our clients, with the aim of increasing mobility and reducing falls risks. Your caseload will be varied and you’ll play a key role in the health and wellbeing of clients with a range of health needs, including chronic health conditions such as cardiovascular disease, musculoskeletal disorders, diabetes and dementia. You will be responsible for developing care plans and solutions tailored to each client’s individual needs. Our Occupational Therapists work collaboratively to provide the highest quality of care and support to our clients. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with families, other clinicians and the wider Silverchain care team is vital for this role.
