Our Purpose: Queensland's hospital system is facing greater demand and pressure than ever before.
This is driven by our growing and ageing population, and compounded by pressures on primary, aged and disability care.
To help address this, Health Infrastructure Queensland (HIQ), in partnership with Hospital and Health Services (HHS), is leading the biggest hospital expansion program Queensland has ever seen.
The program includes building three new hospitals, expanding 11, upgrading rural and regional health facilities and delivering thousands of new hospital beds.
In addition, the intent is for this to be the first tranche of a 15-year program of infrastructure investments.

About the role Join Health Infrastructure Queensland (HIQ) today and be part of a growing service that embraces innovation and excellence in healthcare.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Infrastructure Planning and Delivery, HIQ.
This role is responsible for managing multidisciplinary teams and strategic partnerships, overseeing a diverse infrastructure planning project portfolio and managing a substantial delivery budget.
As a Senior Director you will shape organisational direction and provide high-level advice to senior stakeholders and the Executive Team, ensuring risk management and successful project outcomes.
You will be expected to work collaboratively across agencies to deliver programs and resolve complex issues in a whole of Government context.
Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and high-level program management skills, including developing organisational project management frameworks and methodologies.
Provide strategic oversight for the entire portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and strategies.
Oversee program governance, risk management, and compliance, including developing and enforcing organisational compliance strategies and managing organisational-level risks.
Provide strategic financial oversight for the entire portfolio of projects, developing and managing project-related financial strategies, and ensuring alignment of financial planning with organisational objectives.
Provide strategic oversight for all public correspondence, including developing organisational public communication strategies and ensuring alignment of public messaging with organisational objectives.
