This is a temporary part time (0.8 FTE negotiable), position, commencing Week 4 Term 2, until the end of 2026
A St Mary MacKillop College teacher encourages each student to discover and develop their interests and talents in order to become the best they can be. Providing innovative and best practice teaching, students will grow and develop lifelong learning attributes.
Reporting to the Heads of Primary Learning Support and the Head of Primary School, the Learning Support Coordinator will facilitate the positive inclusion of Students with Additional Educational Needs by providing 'best practise' for teaching and learning in Primary.
The successful applicant will have:
* A relevant four year teaching qualification in Primary or Special Educational Needs
* Experience in early childhood would be advantageous although not essential
* Willingness to promote and support Catholic values as a member of the St Mary MacKillop College community
* Current Teachers Registration
* A current Working with Children Check
* A valid National Criminal History Check

* Gives assistance to staff, families and students in supporting Students with Disability and/or Learning Difficulties throughout the Primary Campus.
* Has a positive, compassionate nature with highly effective written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills.
* Possesses excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
* Will monitor, assess and report on student outcomes in accordance with students Individual Educational Plans.
* Maintains confidentiality regarding all aspects of College students, staff, procedures and practices.
* Possesses an understanding of the legislative requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (1992) and the Disability Standards for Education (2005.)
* Will participate in co curricula activities.
