As part of the Nisbets Portfolio Team, the Key Account Manager will contact, visit and present to key contacts of large potential spend outlets and account groups. In addition to growing the existing portfolio of customers, the KAM will be prospecting for new customer opportunities and introducing the Nisbets suite of products within their respective territory. This role will support customers within the VIC metro and regional areas and will have a mix of working in the field, visiting our in-region retail outlets and working from home.
You will be ambitious and try your best to upsell the sale with our diverse range of products and services by asking the right questions. You will be a team player, and have the support of experienced Sales, customer support and greater business teams.
THE ROLE
The key focus areas of the role include:
* to carry out customer visits for the purpose of presenting the Nisbets range and sales offers
* to prepare and maintain accurate customer records
* to grow groups within the assigned portfolio and to build on current relationships
* to prospect new customers and follow up leads to convert; utilising a lead conversion planner and an agreed call schedule
* Regional travel to visit customers once every 6-8 weeks or as agreed with the National Portfolio Manager
* Develop strategies around price, promotion, volume and market share.
* Strategically drive business growth and develop new customer accounts whilst continually improving existing relationships.
* Professionally deliver presentations, solutions and training to drive sales.
* Planning, forecasting and reporting for each account.
* Monitor account performance and drive solutions to meet business outcomes.
* Plan, manage and maintain a monthly call cycle and provide detailed call reports.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
* Minimum 2 years' of demonstrated experience in account management and nurturing; customer bases in FMCG and/or the hospitality industry advantageous;
* Comprehensive background in developing new business relationships
* Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
* High-level of communication skills both verbal and written
* Good command of Microsoft Office packages and ordering systems
* Good stakeholder engagement experience, and willing to work both within an immediate and cross-functional team
* Certificate level of education, Diploma, Degree or equivalent in Business and/or Sales (desired)
* Current VIC driver's license
* Current Australian working rights.
