About the role
Peninsula Engineering is seeking a skilled Boilermaker / Welder to join our team in Mornington. The position is full time with some on-site work
What you'll be doing
* Perform welding, fabrication with structural steel
* Read and interpret structural shop drawings
* Operate a variety of welding equipment, hand and power tools safely and effectively
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following all safety procedures
What we're looking for
* Qualified boilermaker or experienced welder with a background in structural steel
* Proficiency in a range of welding techniques, including MIG, and ARC welding
* Proficiency in use of oxy / acetelyne (cutting, straightening beams etc)
* Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality workmanship
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment
* White card and experience operating other machinery would be highly regarded
