Downer is currently seeking a proactive and highly organised Transport Allocator to ensure the smooth, efficient and safe operation of our transport fleet from our asphalt plant based in Rosehill. This role will manage the day-to- day allocation and scheduling of vehicles, plant and associated resources to ensure timely delivery of services. It will be the key point of contact for internal teams, customers and subcontractors, ensuring exceptional service, operational efficiency and compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage efficient and cost‑effective planning, scheduling, and allocation of transport fleet and plant resources.
* Maintain simple spreadsheets for operational data collection, analysis, and reporting requirements.
* Work collaboratively as part of the production team to support smooth daily operations.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors while presenting a professional image.
* Ensure all safety, quality, and Chain of Responsibility requirements are met, including reporting incidents and near‑misses.
* Utilise technology systems effectively and contribute ideas that support continuous improvement.
