Support Worker Opportunities in Wellington
We are seeking caring and professional individuals to join our team as Support Workers in the Wellington area. As a Support Worker, you will be providing person-centered care and support to customers in their own homes.
Your day-to-day activities may include:
* Personal Care: assisting with toileting, bathing, showering, oral hygiene, and other personal hygiene needs.
* Meal Preparation: cooking, food preparation, and meal planning for customers.
* Transport: transporting customers to medical appointments, social engagements, shopping, and other outings as required.
* Social Support: providing welfare checks, fostering meaningful connections, offering empathetic companionship, and maintaining customers' connection to the community.
* Domestic Assistance: performing tasks such as vacuuming, laundry, general cleaning, dusting, washing dishes, cleaning windows, cleaning carpets, making beds, basic home, and garden maintenance.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills and qualifications including:
* A Driver's License and a fully registered and insured vehicle.
* Current First Aid Certification, including CPR qualification.
* A Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (desired but not essential).
* NDISWC and WWCC (or willingness to obtain).
* Experience in using technology, such as smartphones and computer programs.
