We are seeking a highly skilled individual to manage the inventory for beer, wine, spirits and retail merchandise within the bottle shop. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inventory Management: Oversee the management of stock levels, track sales and maintain optimal product availability;
* Pricing Strategies: Establish competitive pricing strategies based on market trends, supplier promotions and business targets;
* In-Store Promotions: Plan and oversee in-store promotions, tastings and seasonal campaigns to drive sales;
* Customer Service: Provide knowledgeable product recommendations to enhance customer experience and encourage customer loyalty;
* Sales Growth: Upsell premium products, specials and value-add deals to maximise revenue;
* Financial Reporting: Oversee financial reporting, daily sales reconciliations and performance tracking for the bottle shop;
* Compliance: Ensure safe handling, storage and stock rotation for all liquor and retail items; Maintain compliance with liquor licensing regulations, responsible service of alcohol (RSA) and workplace health & safety standards.
Requirements:
* Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a Retail Manager;
* Skills: Strong ability to manage stock levels, track sales and maintain optimal product availability; Knowledge of retail budgeting, sales forecasting and revenue performance metrics;
* Qualifications: Experience organising in-store product promotions, tastings and customer engagement activities; Ability to build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, reps and distributors; Solid understanding of liquor licensing laws, RSA requirements and WHS/OHS regulations.
