McMahon Services is seeking experienced Leading Hands to support delivery of civil and infrastructure projects across South Australia.
This is a hands-on site leadership role, providing direct supervision to crews delivering civil works, including water, sewer and drainage. You’ll play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, to quality standards and in line with project programs.

About the Role
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will coordinate daily site activities, resources and labour while leading crews on civil works. You’ll ensure compliance with WHS and quality requirements, maintain accurate site records and support positive relationships with clients and the public.
What You’ll Do
* Lead and supervise crews delivering civil, water, sewer and drainage works
* Coordinate plant, labour and materials to meet daily programs
* Monitor productivity, costs and site progress
* Maintain daily site records and communicate progress clearly
* Ensure WHS, quality and compliance requirements are met
* Support incident reporting and continuous improvement on site
What You’ll Bring
* Trade qualification with civil or utilities construction experience
* Strong understanding of WHS and working around live services
* Proven ability to lead crews and prioritise daily activities
* Clear communication skills and basic computer capability
* Driver’s licence, First Aid and ability to obtain DCSI clearance
What Will Set You Apart
* Previous Leading Hand or step-up supervisory experience
* Minimum 2 years’ experience on utilities projects (water/sewer/drainage)
* Strong understanding of working around live services and public interfaces
* Proactive approach to safety, quality and program delivery
* Ability to identify issues early and drive practical solutions
