This position will be located in our office in Milton and will require in office work in Ormeau
We are excited to present a career opportunity in Ormeau, Queensland, for the role of Design Manager. In this pivotal position, you will be the key point of contact for Rail Systems Design, Signalling, Communications, and Train Control Systems. You will lead the project from early client and market engagement through tendering and project delivery, enhancing the internal capability of DT Infrastructure to execute innovative Rail Systems design.
Your designs will meet client standards while adhering to project budgets and timelines, ensuring constructability and compliance with the principle of as far as is reasonably practicable (SFAIRP) throughout the design lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop strategic alliances with suppliers and subcontractors
- Contribute to the strategic direction for the business unit in line with the DTI strategy, with appropriate contributions from relevant team members
- Conduct regular reviews against plan and budget, taking action required to ensure financial objectives are achieved
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years' experience with demonstrated experience in Signalling design
- Multi-disciplined experience across all Rail Systems
- Have L2 or L3 QR Signalling design competencies preferable
- Domain experience with Queensland Rail or Aurizon preferable
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly preferable
- Bachelor of Engineering
- Tertiary qualification in Project Management - preferable
