Wood is recruiting a Materials & Logistics Lead to join our growing Operations business in Darwin, supporting a long-term client partner within the Oil & Gas industry on an established WA Brownfields Contract.
This permanent role is available on a full-time or part-time (job share) basis.

Responsibilities
Hands-on management of the materials and logistics team, providing all aspects of materials management across expediting, logistics, materials control and reporting.
Providing direction and management of the materials and logistics activities to support projects.
Supervision and administration of assigned materials and logistics personnel working on the project.
Ensuring the competence and performance of all assigned personnel within their role.
Managing the effective expediting, receipt, storage, movement and control of all materials to support projects.
Liaising with other supply chain leads, personnel, client, freight forwarders and supply base to ensure all materials and equipment are marshalled and shipped in accordance with Wood procedures and client requirements.
Monitoring and reporting progress of materials and logistics activities.
Ensuring the team regularly updates reports/material systems with required information for accurate reporting.
Escalating critical issues and risks to the Supply Chain Manager.
Qualifications
Must be able to work lawfully in Australia and hold full working rights for this location (visa applicants encouraged).
Ideally hold a degree or equivalent professional qualifications in Commerce, Supply Chain/Logistics from a recognised institution and have 10+ years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Demonstrated experience in industry best practices in logistics and materials management, client contract requirements and supply chain principles.
Detailed knowledge of key material control and logistics concepts, principles and implementation of materials management processes and procedures.
Proficiency in the use of ERP Systems (i.e. AVEVA ERM, Oracle, SAP).
Commercially astute with a "solutions mindset", skilled in managing risk consistent with safety and commercial requirements.
Leadership of people with several years of supervisory experience, capable of engaging an entrepreneurial spirit of cooperation and energising diverse teams to adopt best practices.
Customer-focused with the ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while balancing operational excellence to contribute to the competitive advantage of #teamwood.
Desirable
Currently based in Darwin or willing to relocate, with proven experience identifying efficiencies in process and tool improvement to drive optimal performance.
