The Role We’re looking for an experienced Wok Chef who is confident working in a high-volume kitchen, with a strong focus on seafood and high-heat cooking. Key Responsibilities: Cook to order using wok burners during busy service periods Prepare and cook seafood including prawns, fish, calamari, and shellfish Maintain consistency in flavour, speed, and presentation Assist with prep, stock control, and kitchen organisation Follow food safety and hygiene standards Support the team during peak service Typical Shift: A mix of prep, service, and clean-down across a structured roster. About You This role requires genuine, hands-on wok experience — this is essential. To be considered, you must have: Minimum 3 years’ experience using wok burners in a professional kitchen Strong understanding of high-heat cooking, timing, and flavour balance Ability to work quickly and stay composed under pressure Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment Reliable, organised, and able to work independently Full working rights in Australia Highly regarded: Experience working with seafood ⚠️ This role is not suitable for candidates without genuine wok cooking experience.
