About The Role
We are seeking an experienced
Estimator
to provide estimating support across both our sales and hire lines of business.
Based in our Edinburgh North office and reporting to the Estimating Team Leader, you will be responsible for creating accurate quotes, tenders, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for Modular projects, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and company processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate specifications, scopes of work, BOM's (Bill of Materials) and/or BOQ's (Bill of Quantities).
* Define factory vs. site components and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
* Develop and maintain project-specific materials, labour routes, and documentation systems.
* Interpret technical specifications, tenders, and building drawings in line with company standards.
* Liaise with engineers, certifiers, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to support project delivery.
* Drive innovation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
* Tertiary qualification in Estimating, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
* 5+ years' experience creating and editing BOM's (Bill of materials) and BOQ's (Bill of quantities).
* The ability to work on multiple budgets/projects in line with building industry standards.
* Minimum 3 years' technical experience with CostX (version 6.8 or newer).
* Experience using Navision/Microsoft Dynamics or IFS software.
* Ability to read architectural documentation and drawings and knowledge of building regulations.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
