* AO3 Procurement Support Officer
* QLD Government Opportunity
* Location: Cairns
* $51.12 per hour + superannuation
* Duration: ASAP start for an initial contract through to 23 January 2026 with highly likely rolling contract extension

About the Role

We're seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy individual to assist with procurement processes within a large government department. If you have strong attention to detail, solid computer skills and a willingness to learn, this is a great opportunity to expand your skillset


Key Responsibilities

* Manage tenders: calling, evaluating, and awarding tenders in IRIS (up to $250,000 in value)
* Raise Purchase Orders and process adjustments within Ellipse
* Manage RFQs: source pricing from SOA contractors or request quotes through the request-for-offer process
* Provide administration support to the procurement team as required


What We're Looking For

* A background in construction or government is also highly regarded
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong computer skills, including Word and Excel
* Data entry experience
* Previous procurement experience is highly regarded, however not essential - as training will be provided
* Ability to learn new systems quickly (experience with Ellipse, SAP, or similar is highly desirable)
