The Role
The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is 'exceptional care, healthier lives'. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.
SESLHD Drug and Alcohol Service (DAS) offers a range of treatment and support services for people with problems from their alcohol, prescription or illicit drug use, and/or their families and carers. Outpatient D&A services are located in clinics at the Langton Centre in Surry Hills, St George Hospital in Kogarah, and Caringbah Community. Health Centre at Sutherland Hospital. Inpatient D&A services are provided at Sydney Hospital, Prince of Wales, St. George and Sutherland Hospitals.
The position provides efficient and timely administrative support to Drug & Alcohol Clinical units, the unit manager and clinical team. This includes front-of-house reception duties such as responding to telephone and in-person enquiries, providing NSP equipment to clients, general office and data entry duties.

Selection Criteria

* Ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks in a demanding work environment.
* High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
* Effective organisational skills with the ability to use initiative to problem solve and maintain attention to detail.
* Excellent time management skills with the capacity to work under pressure, determine work priorities and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work in a team environment with a flexible approach to rostering requirements.
* Demonstrated computer literacy in the use of computer software applications and electronic systems.
