Leadership Opportunity - Production Superintendent
Thiess is seeking an experienced leader to lead high-performing production teams at Mount Arthur South. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in open cut coal operations and thrive in a team environment.
Job Description:
* Lead production crews to safely and effectively deliver the mine plan.
* Achieve production targets through a collaborative, plan-driven approach.
* Coach and mentor Supervisors and OCEs for continuous improvement and professional growth.
* Closely collaborate with Technical Services and Drill & Blast to ensure plan compliance and path-to-plan delivery.
* Drive accountability, cost-effectiveness, and performance across the production team.
* Promote a values-driven safety culture and foster continuous improvement.
Requirements:
* Significant open cut coal mining experience.
* Proven leadership as a Superintendent or Senior Supervisor.
* Strong planning, data interpretation, and coordination skills.
* Open Cut Examiner's Certificate of Competency (mandatory).
* Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency (highly desirable).
* Strong communication, stakeholder management, and coaching ability.
