We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Business Analysts to join the Office of the Fair Work Ombudsman's (FWO) Regulatory Transformation Group.
Positions are available at the Business Analyst (APS6) and Senior Business Analyst (EL1) levels.
Both full-time and part-time hours, as well as hybrid work arrangements, are available.
To be considered for the EL1 role, you must meet the additional selection criteria outlined in the position description.

The FWO is an independent statutory office established by the Fair Work Act 2009.

Australian citizenship is required.
Current Australian Government Security Clearance (AGSVA) or willingness to obtain a Baseline clearance (support provided).

Key Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst (APS6) or Senior Business Analyst (EL1), your responsibilities may include:
Leading workshops to gather requirements and translate business needs into specifications.
Conducting gap analyses to identify improvement opportunities.
Reengineering processes and documenting technical and non-technical specifications.
Developing strategies for data utilization, technology adoption, and automation.
Creating reports and visualizations like wireframes and flow diagrams.
Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for strategic decisions.
Managing the implementation lifecycle from ideation to integration.
Supporting or leading change management initiatives.
Note: Interstate and overnight travel may be required.
Selection Criteria
To succeed at both levels, candidates should have:
Expert stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to document requirements clearly.
Experience in business analysis within complex environments.
Knowledge of business process improvement and future-state design.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with large datasets.
Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
EL1 candidates must additionally demonstrate:
5+ years' experience in business analysis, capable of independent contribution.
Leadership and change management experience, including mentoring and coaching.
Qualifications or certifications in project management or continuous improvement are highly desirable.
