About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing team at RSM Geraldton. In this role, you will perform a broad range of bookkeeping responsibilities, including reviewing, organising and processing client financial information sourced from various systems. You will work closely with accountants and clients, playing a key role in delivering high‐quality outcomes and exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assists with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards;
* Applies knowledge of client/firm/industry trends and current issues;
* Assist accountant in preparing client BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax, LSL Levy and other ongoing tax compliance requirements;
* Prepare reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable;
* Assist with client relationship management;
* Handle client bookkeeping queries.
About you:
* 4+ years relevant experience;
* Relevant qualifications;
* Xero and MYOB Account Right experience essential;
* Payroll experience;
* Sound accounting skills (Dr's & Cr's ; P&L & Balance Sheet differences);
* Basic GST knowledge;
* Ability to identify & communicate process improvements;
* Strong organisational skills;
* Excellent customer service skills;
* Self‐motivated (ability to work independently).
