About the role:

The key to our success is our people. In this role, you will provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service through the preparation and cooking of a variety of meals, ingredient preparation, and food service for our valued residents.
This is a hands-on position requiring you to prepare and cook meals for our valued residents, alongside our Head Chef & Second Chef.
Roster(Position starts Term 1, 2025)
Days: Five days a week during term time
Example shifts:
* Monday to Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
* Monday to Friday, 10:30 am - 7:00 pm
Note: Roster may vary depending on functions, so flexibility is essential
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Work alongside the Head Chef & 2nd Chef to achieve the best possible outcomes for our students
* Plan menus and cook nutritious homestyle meals, including freshly baked morning/afternoon tea, hot lunches, soups, evening meals, and desserts
* Consider special dietary requirements, including allergies, intolerances, and supplements
* Prepare high-end food for various functions throughout the year
* Assist with the management of a small kitchen team, including training, development, motivation, and encouraging staff productivity
* Build and maintain key relationships with residents, the culinary team, clients, and management
* Ensure strict adherence to Food Safety practices, HACCP standards, and WH&S principles
Key essential criteria:
* Minimum of 2 years' full-time experience in a busy kitchen
* Strong working knowledge of Food Safety
* Valid Driver's License
* Passion for great food and excellent customer service
* Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Commitment to team development and leadership
* Pride in personal hygiene and professional presentation
