Host Responsibility External Stakeholder Manager
About the role
As the Host Responsibility External Stakeholder Manager, you will play a role in shaping and executing strategies that foster trust, collaboration, and a shared commitment to responsible gaming. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a forward looking stakeholder engagement strategy for Host Responsibility, while building relationships with treatment service providers, public health organisations, community leaders, and government agencies to promote SkyCity’s Host Responsibility practices. This role also involves collaborating across the gaming industry to identify and integrate best practice harm minimisation solutions as part of SkyCity’s continual improvement efforts. You will champion SkyCity’s safer gaming initiatives both externally and within SkyCity Adelaide, support Gambling Harm Awareness campaigns aligned with state based programs, and ensure these initiatives are embedded within SkyCity’s harm minimisation framework. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure Host Responsibility practices are inclusive and responsive to the multicultural and multilingual backgrounds of SkyCity’s diverse customer base.
About you
You will possess solid facilitation, presentation, and public speaking skills, with the ability to clearly and persuasively communicate ideas to diverse stakeholders both in writing and in person. You will demonstrate active listening to understand stakeholder concerns and foster trust and collaboration, while building and maintaining positive relationships across internal and external networks. Adaptability in engagement approaches is essential, ensuring communication is tailored to the stakeholder’s background, preferences, and style. The role requires a proactive mindset to anticipate potential challenges and deliver innovative solutions that align with both SkyCity’s objectives and stakeholder needs. You will have experience in developing and executing engagement strategies, along with managing multiple initiatives simultaneously. You will have a strong understanding of responsible gambling principles and best practices, and a commitment to promoting responsible gaming and safeguarding the wellbeing of casino guests.
