Job Title
Agronomist is responsible for providing agronomic technical advice and products to help clients thrive. The successful candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, lead the rural products sales team, and oversee branch retail operations.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide onsite agronomic support: Offer expert guidance to clients on agronomic matters to strengthen their business.
* Meet financial objectives: Achieve allocated financial targets and assist with product forecasting and inventory management.
* Promote staff upskilling: Provide technical advice and product recommendations to enhance the skills of branch staff.
* Develop client relationships: Foster professional relationships with a targeted group of existing and new clients.
* Identify new sales opportunities: Cultivate new agronomic sales opportunities for prospective and existing clients.
* Maximise promotional opportunities: Assist at field days and farmer meetings with demonstrations and trial work.
* Lead and mentor the sales team: Build strong client relationships, promote beneficial products, and enhance business success.
* Manage branch retail operations: Exceed targets and monitor rural products performance against key metrics.
* Source new business opportunities: Expand market share and assist in setting retail sales targets and business planning.
About You

* Have a background in disciplines such as pasture and broadacre.
* Have a proven track record in sales and previous experience in an agronomy role.
* Hold a qualification in Agronomy aiming to grow your expertise while also managing a rural products team.
* Have the ability to provide high-level customer service and cultivate relationships with potential and current growers.
* Hold a tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field.
