Opportunity:

The City of Albany’s Operations Team has an opportunity for a Civil Technical Officer to join the team in a new role.

Reporting to the Civil Maintenance Planner, this role is responsible for but not limited to:

* Scoping civil infrastructure maintenance works.
* Supporting the development of project scopes, work packs and budgets.
* Contributing across multiple projects with minimal direction.
* Conducting site inspections to assess work requirements and ensure compliance with standards.
* Coordinating the discovery, assessment, planning, and procurement of compliant gravel materials to support the construction and maintenance of the City’s unsealed road network.
* Liaising professionally with the general public, landowners and public utilities on matters of significance.

About You:

Proven experience and practical knowledge of civil infrastructure maintenance operations with excellent problem solving and communication skills.

The successful candidate will also require:

* Tertiary qualification with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience, or approved qualifications with specialised skills and experience.
* Experience initiating or managing programs, projects or services.
* Proven ability to build productive relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
* Ability to Identify, analyse and resolve issues using sound judgement.
* Excellent computer skills with intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
* 'C’ Class Driver’s License.
