Job Title: Operations Director
The role of the Area Business Group Manager involves leading the operational delivery of our Building Engineering Services Business Group across Australia. This position reports directly to the Country Director of Operations and partners with the BES Regional Business Group Director.
* Championing the Australian Building Engineering Services Business Group, promoting its vision and values both internally and externally.
* Actively leading as a member of the Australian Leadership Team.
* Providing direct line management and leadership to senior staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
* Leveraging expertise in operations and business to monitor and drive financial performance.
* Monitoring ongoing progress of business strategies and adjusting strategies as required.
* Proactively managing project and business risks.
* Driving continuous improvement in operational processes and procedures.
This position requires relevant tertiary qualifications, professional registration, and a minimum of 15 years of experience within consulting engineering, including significant time in senior leadership roles. The ideal candidate should have a demonstrated understanding of financial management, experience owning and growing a P&L for an engineering cost centre, and strong experience leading cross-functional teams. Additionally, they should have expertise in client relationship management, industry knowledge, and experience working within a multidisciplinary environment.
