Net Zero and Energy Efficiency
About the Role
This is a senior relationship focused sales role within a growing, engineering led energy services business operating across net zero strategy, energy efficiency, audits, and large scale enterprise and government engagements.
The role exists to take ownership of an established customer base and transform historically reactive relationships into long term, value driven partnerships.
This is not a cold calling role and not a pure hunter BDM position. Revenue is achieved through trust, listening, and commercial insight rather than aggressive selling.
What You Will Be Doing
You will own and develop an existing portfolio of customers, including active clients, dormant accounts, and panel or preferred supplier relationships.
* Re engaging past customers who have had little or no follow up
* Deepening relationships with active delivery clients
* Identifying additional opportunities within existing accounts
* Turning panel appointments into real, invited opportunities
* Acting as the primary customer advocate post sale
* Ensuring customers receive the right solution, not just what they initially request
You will also support tenders and proposals as the commercial lead, working closely with engineering and delivery teams, while gradually building proactive pipeline through referrals and reputation.
What This Role Is Not
* Not a cold calling heavy role
* Not a hunter or transactional BDM position
* Not product sales
* Not call centre style relationship management
* Not purely tender administration
How Success Is Measured
In the first six months you will be expected to:
* Re establish contact with dormant customers
* Build trust with active accounts
* Convert relationships into real opportunities
* Hit agreed KPIs and budget
* Demonstrate strong collaboration with internal teams
Longer term success looks like becoming a trusted advisor in net zero and energy efficiency, growing referral driven work, and strengthening the business reputation within key customer networks.
About You

* Curiosity and willingness to learn technical subject matter
Industry experience in energy services is helpful but not essential. Strong sales fundamentals matter more than sector tenure.
You are professional, down to earth, collaborative, and comfortable working in an engineering led environment that is evolving toward a more results focused culture.
Working Arrangement
* Location flexible across Victoria, New South Wales, or Queensland
* Hybrid model with around two days per week in office
* Flexibility based on client activity
* Full remote support and equipment provided
Salary and Benefits
* Base salary of 120k plus super
* Car allowance of 12k per annum
* On target incentive of approximately 25k based on net margin contribution
* Upside available for strong performance
* Annual performance and salary reviews
