Northern Imaging Victoria is the medical imaging program of Northern Health, providing Diagnostic Radiology, Interventional Radiology and Nuclear Medicine/PET including O&G Imaging. Services are based across multiple sites, with a strong focus on acute and emergency imaging and intervention at Northern Hospital Epping.
About the Role As a Radiologist with Northern Imaging Victoria, you will be part of a team delivering safe, high quality and efficient imaging and interventional services to Northern Health referrers and patients, as well as external referrers. This full-time senior medical role is fixed-term for 12 months commencing in June 2026.
Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive radiology services including plain film radiography, CT, MRI, US, fluoroscopy and core procedural skills. Provide subspecialty expertise in an area of radiology and participate in clinical, academic and educational activities.
Qualifications
Primary medical qualification (MBBS, MB BCh, MD or equivalent) registrable with AHPRA.
Registration as a specialist Radiologist in Australia with AHPRA, or ability to be registered with currency of practice and CPD participation.
Ability to gain a Medicare provider number at Northern Health sites.
Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in Clinical Radiology.
Broad knowledge in all aspects of radiology for safe and independent consultant practice including plain film radiography, CT, MRI, US, fluoroscopy and core procedural skills.
Expert knowledge, experience and competency in a subspecialty of radiology.
Commitment to excellence in medical imaging service delivery, continued improvement and teamwork.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional relationships.
Commitment to research and medical education including training of junior staff.
