The Role
We are seeking a skilled Handyman to join our team and oversee maintenance operations across our childcare centres in VIC. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong background in maintenance and repair work.
Responsibilities
* Fixing broken furniture
* Repairing or replacing broken toys and play equipment
* Fixing minor plumbing issues
* Cleaning gutters
* Pressure cleaning exterior surfaces
* Touching up paint on walls or furniture
* Changing light bulbs
* Cleaning and maintaining HVAC systems
* Keeping outdoor areas tidy
* Responding promptly to urgent maintenance issues
* Ensuring emergency exits are clear and operational
* Installing new equipment or fixtures as needed
* Setting up temporary structures for events or activities
* Mowing lawns and maintaining outdoor landscaping
Essential Criteria
* Working with Children's Check Clearance
* Valid Police Check or willing to obtain one
* Full driver's license
* Own tools
* Own vehicle
* 1-2 years experience in a similar role
* Physically fit and healthy
* Good verbal and written communication skills
