The school opened in 2021, for students in Foundation through to Grade Six, and provides high quality, affordable Catholic education. Warragul's population has grown 41% in the last 10 years. The school is set to complete its final stage 3 build at the end of 2025 providing an additional 8 classrooms.
St Angela of the Cross Primary School is an exciting new Catholic school in Warragul. The school opened in 2021, for students in Foundation through to Grade Six, and provides high quality, affordable Catholic education. The school is located on the corner of Copelands Road and Mills Road, Warragul.
Applications are invited from suitably experienced persons for the ongoing position of Classroom Teacher/Teaching and Learning Leader to commence on 27th January 2026. This is a teaching positions under the Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited, School and Secretariat Agreement 2022.
This is an ongoing Classroom Teaching position with the Teaching and Learning leadership role. (POL 1 - $3,133 and 5 hours release time) It is a two year appointment, with the possibility for renewal.
Successful applicants will be provided with training and support from the school and DOSCEL where required.
Selection Criteria
- Support and develop the faith life of St Angela of the Cross.
- A demonstrated high level of professional knowledge and understanding of contemporary practices and a commitment to ongoing development.
- Ability to effectively work within and lead a team of staff in school improvement.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills including organisation and communication.
The successful applicant will hold Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration.

The Teaching and Learning Leader is a key leadership role and is jointly responsible for leading excellence in Teaching and Learning. The Teaching and Learning Leader is a member of the school Leadership Team and reports to the Principal, Deputy Principal and Learning Adjustment/Wellbeing Leader.
This leadership role will come with 1 day release time and a Position of Leadership Allowance of $3,133. A candidate familiar with the 3-6 Curriculum would be advantageous.
The Teaching and Learning Leader is required to be familiar with and comply with the schools Child Safety Policies and the Code of Conduct.
The Teaching and Learning Leader will:
- Develop and demonstrate commitment to St. Angela’s Catholic identity
- Work collaboratively and relationally with the leadership team
- Lead professional learning to enact school improvement priorities, building teacher capacity in a supportive and team-focused way
- Engage with relevant DOSCEL staff and outside agencies
- Work alongside classroom teachers (within classrooms) to support and prioritise student learning and wellbeing, fostering trust and shared responsibility
The Level Leader role will be a 2 year position which can be reapplied for.
