About the Role Adecco Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Production Support
Engineer / Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team, a leading engineering
and manufacturing organisation in Hindmarsh. This role is ideal for someone
with a strong manufacturing background, confident in working across production
processes, CAD/CAM systems, and mechanical engineering projects. You will work
closely with production teams, quality assurance, procurement, and other
stakeholders to deliver practical engineering solutions, implement process
improvements, and drive continual enhancement initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain
and update engineering drawings, documentation, and SOPs
* Design
and implement production jigs, fixtures, and tooling
* Contribute
to product and process development from design to manufacture
* Support
continual improvement initiatives using PDCA methodology
* Conduct
testing, produce reports, and implement recommendations
* Coordinate
with internal stakeholders to optimise production outcomes
* Liaise
with suppliers to source and implement components that meet specifications
Required Skills and Experience
* Bachelor
of Engineering (Mechanical or related field)
* Proficient
in 3D CAD/CAM software such as Solidworks and production-level AS1100
drawings
* Experience
in engineering design projects and delivering outcomes in a production or
manufacturing environment
* Hands-on
approach, capable of working practically with tools and production
equipment
* Strong
communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
* Self-motivated,
solutions-focused, and able to manage projects independently
Desirable Experience
* Experience
in injection moulding processes
* Exposure
to digital manufacturing processes including FDM printing, laser cutting,
and CNC operations
* Experience
in stress and thermal analysis using FEA or first-principles calculations
* Previous
experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment
