Located at Tullamarine, note this is not an on-site position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform welding tasks using various welding techniques, such as MIG, MMA, and stick welding.
• Fabricate metal components according to technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Adhere to Welding procedure CC3.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment, tools, and machinery.
• Collaborate with engineers, draftspersons, and team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Troubleshoot and resolve welding and fabrication issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Minimum 3-5 years of fabrication and welding experience is required.
• Proficiency in MIG, MMA and stick welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Solid understanding of metal properties, fabrication processes, and welding methods.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
• Relevant certifications and training in welding and fabrication.
• Strong preference for Dogman and Forklift tickets
• Australian work rights are essential for this position.
