About the Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a podiatry department that offers experience in multidisciplinary care within a high-risk foot team. We are seeking Graduates (new/recent/upcoming) or a qualified Podiatrist wanting a tree change to public health to join this team of dynamic and dedicated group of clinicians. In this role, under the direction of the Lead Podiatrist, you will be an integral member of the interdisciplinary high-risk foot service, collaborating with a range of multi-disciplinary clinicians including endocrinologists, vascular specialists, diabetes educators, wound CNCs to name a few. You will provide care to both inpatients and outpatients presenting with acute foot complications. Our High-Risk Podiatry Team is committed to implementing a coordinated, multidisciplinary model of care for patients experiencing high-risk foot complications and is a recognised National Association of Diabetes Centres core accredited site with the service annually contributing to the Australian high-risk foot service database and engaging in several quality improvements projects.
The Podiatry department provides peer support and supervision structures, experience in student supervision programs, in house and external continuing professional development activities, presenting and disseminating information at district, national and international conferences to ensure exceptional patient care is delivered.

What You'll be Doing
The Podiatrist working in SWSLHD is responsible for providing patient centered care for people presenting with "at risk" and "high risk" foot pathologies. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide Podiatric care as part of a multidisciplinary high risk foot team and in a sub-acute step down service. The Podiatrist is also responsible for participation in quality improvement activities, clinical supervision, professional development and completing required
