Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to provide high-level strategic advice and administrative services to the Board, its sub-committees and the CEO. This role will include overseeing governance, managing communications, leading projects, and providing critical support to ensure the efficient operations of the Board and the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee (FRAC).


About the Role

* Provide high-level secretariat, advisory and support services to enable the Board and the FRAC to fulfil its functions as outlined in relevant legislative instruments.
* Prepare, manage and review high level communications and correspondence including relevant board papers, minutes, actions, reports and submissions to ensure comprehensiveness, readability, accuracy, and timeliness of information.
* Manage the development and review of corporate governance materials such as the Board Workplan, compliance obligations, charters, manuals, policies and procedures along with their regular review, as well as ensuring Agency's compliance with policy requirements relating to the FRAC.
* Advise and support the Board Chair and CEO in decision-making as requested.
* Support Board members and coordinate with stakeholders and the Executive Team to ensure timely, effective communication on Board matters.
* Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and reporting requirements by developing, reviewing, evaluating, and continuously improving the governance framework.
* Act as a key point of contact for advice related to Board governance, ethical behaviour, and compliance.


Required Skills and Qualifications

* Proven experience in board support, governance, project and budget management in a complex environment.
* Exceptional communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organisation and external stakeholders.
* Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and work under pressure.
