About The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced HR professional ready to step confidently into the newly created role of Head of HR. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned Senior HR Business Partner or HR Manager who brings strong capability, contemporary HR practice, and a genuine interest in organisational growth.
You'll lead a small HR team, partner directly with the CEO, and shape HR systems and culture across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead HR strategy, workforce planning and capability development aligned to Castle's mission and NDIS context
Apply contemporary HR practice across learning, development and industrial relations
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance, L&D, remuneration, compliance and workforce planning
Maintain high‑quality HR frameworks, policies and systems
Provide trusted, practical HR advice to leaders
Lead the development and enhancement of HR systems, policies and HRIS processes
Ensure accurate HR data and reporting
Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities for innovation
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, awards, IR requirements and NDIS probity checks
Support IR matters and manage HR risk
Oversee payroll and salary packaging governance
Lead, coach and support the HR team
Build capability across managers and staff
Promote a positive, people‑focused culture aligned to capacity‑building principles
What You'll Bring
Experience as a Senior HRBP or HR Manager (NDIS, disability, NFP or regulated sector experience welcomed but not essential) or equivalent industry experience
Strong contemporary HR knowledge, including learning & development and industrial relations
Ability to balance compliance with growth, people development and innovation
Confidence working both operationally and strategically
A growth mindset and genuine commitment to developing people and teams
