The Role Due to internal growth, we are seeking a reliable and hands on individual to join our team as a Maintenance and Farm Support Worker in Girgarre.
This is a full time opportunity offering up to 38 hours per week, working between Monday to Sunday with every second weekend on duty.
Key Responsibilities Perform general farm maintenance, including repairs of infrastructure, equipment, and fencing.
Operate a telehandler and other farm machinery safely and efficiently.
Assist with daily piggery operations including feeding, health checks, and cleaning.
Support animal welfare practices and follow biosecurity protocols.
Monitor and maintain facilities to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
Collaborate with the farm management and livestock teams to support day to day operations.
Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
About You Previous experience in animal care, ideally within intensive livestock environment or farm maintenance environment.
Previous maintenance/trades experience.
Experience operating a telehandler; High Risk Work.
Practical knowledge of farm machinery and basic mechanical skills.
Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to animal welfare and safe farming practices.
