Job Summary
This role plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry. To prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, and abiding to current health & safety legislation. The Security & First Aid Officer will be responsible for monitoring activities, responding to incidents, and implementing safety protocols.
Duties
* Report directly to the Security & First Aid Manager/Duty Security Manager
* General Patrolling and Security of the site
* Responding to incidents throughout our public bars and function rooms
* Responding to First Aid calls when required or to ensure adequate provisions for the first aid room.
* Responding to any intruder/fire alarm activations
* Filling out incident report forms
* Booking in & out of delivery vehicles and Contractors
* To operate and respond to any issues with the Automatic car parking barrier system.
* To understand and abide by all departmental policies and procedures.
Experience
* Security Industry Authority Door Supervisors Licence
* Emergency First Aid at Work (minimum)
* Experience of working in a high customer-orientated/service delivery environment
* IT skills (ability to work with reporting software)
* Proven experience in a security role or similar position is preferred.
* Familiarity with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation, is essential.
* Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and first aid certification are advantageous.
* Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and collaboration.
